The annual Festival of the Lakes with fun for all the family takes place over the June Bank Holiday weekend. The highlight Family Funday features boat & raft races on the Town lake and plenty of entertainment for children along the Strand with bouncing castles and amusements.
Other events over the weekend include Children’s talent competitions, football, fishing competition and a car treasure hunt
In the evenings there are pub quizzes and traditional music sessions taking place in all of the pubs.
Heritage and craft displays take place in Stuart's old shop and yard supported by members of the local Mens Shed and Heritage committee. Why not also join us on the guided town history trail.
